Description: One of our brand name tours. Off-the-beaten-tourist-path introduction to Mongolian landscape and nomadic people and culture. This tour introduces Mongolian Gobi Desert, Forest (Khangai), High Mountain and Lake landscapes in a time and cost efficient way.
Activities: Sightseeing; blueberry harvesting, natural spring soaking, Ulaanbaatar city tour and optional trekking and horseback riding.
ITINERARY & PRICE
Day 1: Arrive at Ulaanbaatar City, Transfer to hotel. After some personal refreshment, start guided city tour. Visit to Zaisan Memorial to see a view of the entire city. Our staff will guide you through some major spots, such as Sukhbaatar Square and the Opera House. Visit the Museum of Natural History and other museums, if time allows. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to the airport to fly to the Uliastay Center of Zavkhan Province. Drive to the famous Zavkhan River, which flows through the Great Mongolia Sand Dune. Enjoy swimming in the warm river water. Tent camping.
Day 3: Drive to Ih Khairkhan (Great Mountain) Cave in Aldarkhaan soum. Explore the cave. Next, drive to River Hungui to see its source, which is flowing from beneath the sand dune. Then drive further to Senjit Rock to see an interesting formation of rocks.
Day 4: Drive to Lake Har in Erdenhairhan soum and enjoy trekking around the beautiful lake, which is surrounded by sand dunes.
Day 5: Dive to Lake Telmen and Telmen soum. Stay overnight in Zambaga Camp near the lake.
Day 6: Drive to Lake Khag in Yaruu soum to stay overnight at the Ger tourist camp.
Day 7: Drive to Uliastay to catch your flight to Ulaanbaatar. Stay overnight in the hotel in Ulaanbaatar
Day 8: Take advantage of free time before your departure. Visit some cashmere, clothing, souvenir and antique shops. Transfer to the airport
