Orkhon waterfall (also, called Ulaan Tsutgalan Waterfall) is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Central Mongolia. The height of the waterfall is about 20m (65 feet).  The waterfall is located in a beautiful valley with volcanic rocks.  It can be reached in 4-5 hours from Kharkhorin (Karakorum) and in 2-3 hours from Tuvkhun temple. Travel routes from Gobi Desert to Central Mongolia passes close by the waterfall.

Orkhon river itself is the longest river in Mongolia with length of 1124 kilometers (709 miles). It originates in Khangai Mountain Range and merges to Selenge River, eventually reaching Lake Baikal. Orkhon river valley is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites for its historical value related to Great Mongolian Empire.

Lake Huvsgul

Known as blue pearl of Mongolia, Lake Huvsgul is one of the most popular destinations for international and domestic tourists. The lake is located at 1645m above sea level and is 136 km long 36.5km wide and has an area of 2760km2. It is 262.4m deep at its deepest point and 138m deep on average.

Lake Huvsgul is the second largest freshwater lake in central Asia after Russia’s Lake Baikal. Huvsgul water is crystal fresh and clear that you can drink the water and see points at as deep as 24.5m. Lake Huvsgul feeds Lake Baikal through Eg river.
